Douglas Wilson – Director

Douglas has over 30 years’ experience of owning and operating commercial vessels and manages the annual dry docking of the vessels. He started his career in fishing and then diversified into what is now one of the largest mussel farm operations in Scotland.

Having been involved in the business since its inception, Helen plays a vital support role within the company, including mussel deliveries to local hotels and restaurants in Mull and the surrounding area.
Lee Maclean – Superintendent

Having many years of experience as both a skipper and working offshore, Lee is responsible for our Safety Management System and ISO 45001 accreditation, with the aim to provide a proactive on-board safety culture within an expanding fleet. Since re-joining the company in 2015, he ensures that the skippers’ needs are addressed promptly and efficiently and that vessels are maintained to the highest standards, with minimal downtime. Lee is also the deputy DPA onshore.
Alan Palmer – Financial & Commercial Manager

Alan has worked internationally as an engineer in the offshore drilling industry, and previous to that, in the aquaculture industry around Skye. Since joining the company in 2016, he had been responsible for crewing, vessel logistics, business support and has an in-depth knowledge of the operational side of the company. Alan is now responsible for contract tendering and controlling the company's finance department.
Fraser McKenzie – Crew Co-ordinator

Fraser is a longstanding member of the local coastguard team and brings a wealth of experience to the onshore team. He has previously worked abroad but more recently had a role co-ordinating logistics and administrating accounts/services for the local authority. He is responsible for the comprehensive support of our crew, including monitoring crew qualifications, maintaining our comprehensive training schedule, shift scheduling and crew logistics to ensure smooth operations.

Finlay has an extensive background in the aquaculture industry as an Assistant Site Manager for a large producer. He is responsible for vessel logistics, mooring project support, as well as scheduling fish feed deliveries around the Highlands and Islands. His attention to detail is essential for the efficient operation of the entire fleet. He is also responsible for monitoring our ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards.

Kegan, originally from South Africa, has built up a comprehensive understanding of the aquaculture and workboat industry since moving to Scotland in 2017. Having worked on sites for many of the large producers, he gained promotion to workboat skipper to manage a company’s net washing operations. This technical knowledge of machinery, parts and operations helps him in his current role of procurement, to ensure our vessels have everything they need to operate efficiently and safely.

Naomi helps manage a successful multi-disciplined construction company and has joined Inverlussa part-time to assist in various projects. She is responsible for tracking the progress of new build vessels, promoting the mussel farm and also researching opportunities in new markets to maintain the sustainable growth of the business.
Niamh Sweeney – Office Administrator

Niamh grew up on the island and has many years of experience working and managing in the local hospitality industry, prior to this she studied for her Law degree at the University of Glasgow. Niamh moved back to Mull and has taken on the role of Office Administrator where she supports the directors and other office personnel through offering administrative and research assistance while helping with invoicing and the financial administration generated by the vessels.
Cameron Maclean – Mussel Farm Manager

With 21 years’ experience in aquaculture, Cameron joined us in 2005. He supervises the year round duties of the team involved in producing the harvest while maintaining the Grade A quality standards of the product. The mussels are then distributed to major supermarkets around the country, in addition to providing fresh produce to local hotels and restaurants.
