From 2016 to 2019, the Helen Mary successfully completed a 2.5 year contract with Ørsted during the construction phase of their Racebank offshore wind farm located off the North Norfolk Coast. She conducted support services, equipment transfers, anchor handling and guard duties.
Helen Mary was particularly suitable for this project, as she was built in 2015 to BV Unrestricted Navigation Class, specifically for operation on wind farms further offshore, with accommodation for additional crew/passengers and a large aft deck.
In June 2019, The Helen Mary completed a 3 month contract for Skyspecs, providing a support vessel for their drone operations in the German and Dutch North Sea sector for wind turbine structural inspections.
Inverlussa Marine Services have also supported Partrac Ltd over several of their projects in the Sound of Islay, West Islay and Kylerhea. Most of the work carried out was deploying and retrieving ADCPs which was very challenging given the high tidal stream conditions.
