Inverlussa Marine completed its first open water tow contract, from Lepsoy in Norway to the Shetland Islands. Helen Burnie safely delivered the 500ton barge ahead of schedule to the client’s satisfaction.


July 2012

Inverlussa Marine Services was awarded the contract to tow a 550ton "SeaMate" barge from Inverness to Loch Torridon on the West Coast. Helen Burnie carried out the tow in good time, safely handing the barge to the mooring contractor on the Sunday morning.

The latest addition to the Inverlussa Marine Services fleet has just been launched. The Helen Burnie, built to a unique design at Macduff Shipyards, is equipped with the latest technology to allow it to tackle everything, from specialist offshore windfarm and tidal survey work to traditional delivery contracts for our main fish farm clients.

As Scotland embraces the renewable energy revolution, Inverlussa Marine Services is investing in a new state-of-the-art workboat. Helen Burnie, currently under construction at Macduff Shipyards, will be a general purpose coastal supply vessel, available to assist with all the traditional marine service tasks which are the backbone of our business.
