BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

Over recent years, our strategy has been to meet the requirements of the expanding aquaculture sector with major investment in new multi-purpose vessels. This has enabled us to secure long-term contracts while gaining an excellent reputation for safety and reliability.

We have built a strong team of talented people whose expertise ensures that we deliver the professional level of service our clients demand. Safety is top priority, therefore our vessels are operated by highly skilled crew who have the industry experience, with continual training, to satisfy the customer’s requirements - this is what wins us repeat contracts.

Kilean
Kilean - 1999 Kilean, our first vessel, purpose built to service our mussel farm on Loch Spelve, Isle of Mull.
Margaret Sinclair
Margaret Sinclair - 2006 Built by Nobles of Girvan for Inverlussa; our first step into marine contract work.
Carol Anne
Carol Anne - 2010 Built by Nobles of Girvan; acquired when we took over a marine transport operation to deliver fish feed. She was later sold in 2016.
Helen Burnie
Helen Burnie - 2012 Built by Macduff Shipyards for Inverlussa; for contract with Meridian Salmon (now Cooke Aquaculture).
Geraldine Mary
Geraldine Mary (Nobles) - 2013 Built by Nobles of Girvan for Inverlussa; for 7 year contract with Meridian Salmon (Cooke Aquaculture). She was later sold to Cooke Aquaculture in March 2020.
Naomi Jennifer
Naomi Jennifer - 2014 Built by Nobles of Girvan; purchased for contract with Grieg Seafood Shetland.
Helen Mary
Helen Mary - 2015 Built by Macduff Shipyards for Inverlussa; wind farm support vessel on joint contract with Mainprize Offshore Ltd for Dong Energy at Race Bank wind farm.
Turnstone
Turnstone - 2015 Built by Macduff Shipyards for Inverlussa; second vessel to support our mussel farm operations.
Grace Lamont
Grace Lamont - 2016 Purchased as a second vessel for fish feed delivery contract. Now involved in aquaculture site services.
Havgull
Havgull - 2016 Leased to Inverlussa for fish feed contract work.
Shjandur
Shjandur - 2016 The latest vessel to join the fleet as a support vessel for fish feed contracts. Now involved in aquaculture site services.
Northern Viking
Northern Viking - 2017 Leased to Inverlussa in January for contract with Cooke Aquaculture. Following 7 years on charter to various clients, the vessel was returned to its owners in May 2024.
Gina Mary
Gina Mary - 2017 Launched in May, the vessel was designed by Macduff Ship Design and built by Havyard in Norway. The vessel went straight onto a contract with Marine Harvest.
Kiera Fiona
Kiera Fiona - 2017 Launched in September, the vessel was designed by Macduff Ship Design and built by Havyard in Norway. The vessel went straight onto a contract with Marine Harvest.
2018 Award
Aquaculture Supplier of the Year - 2018 Inverlussa picked up the main 2018 award during a ceremony that took place in May at the Aquaculture UK exhibition in Aviemore.
Helen Rice
Helen Rice - 2020 Designed by Macduff Ship Design and built by Ferguson Marine Engineering in Port Glasgow. She was delivered in in January 2020 and provides general Aquaculture support and mooring services across the west coast of Scotland.
Patricia Matheson
Patricia Matheson - 2020 Designed and built by Damen Shipyards in the Netherlands. Received in March, she went straight onto a contract in the Scottish aquaculture sector in the Northern Isles carrying out mooring grid inspections and installations.
Havilah
Havilah - 2020 Leased to Inverlussa for fish feed contract work on the West Coast. The Havgull will be deployed in Loch Fyne.
Kallista Helen
Kallista Helen - 2021 Designed by Macduff Ship Design, Kallista Helen was launched in March and delivered in May by Ferguson Shipyards in Port Glasgow. The vessel sailed to Shetland where she started a long-term contract.
Camilla Eslea
Camilla Eslea - 2021 Camilla Eslea was delivered to Inverlussa in July after successful sea trials in Holland. The vessel is equipped with the world’s largest Thermolicer system with a throughput of 300 tons per hour.
Aqua Enterprise
Aqua Enterprise - 2021 Aqua Enterprise joined the Inverlussa fleet in October on long-term bareboat, helping increase the site service capacity within the fleet.
Laurence Knight
Laurence Knight - 2021 Inverlussa took delivery of Laurence Knight from Moen Marin in Norway. Laurence Knight is the first Hybrid vessel in the Scottish Aquaculture sector, built to increase mooring and site service capacity.
Geraldine Mary
Geraldine Mary (Macduff) - 2022 Launched in May 2022, Geraldine Mary was designed and built in Macduff and is a sister ship of Helen Rice. The vessel increased the company's mooring and site service capacity. She reuses the name of a former Nobles-built vessel.
Kathryn Matheson
Kathryn Matheson - 2022 The Aqua Enterprise, previously on a long-term bareboat charter, was purchased by Inverlussa in October 2022 to become a permanent fixture in the fleet and renamed Kathryn Matheson.
Eloise Eslea
Eloise Eslea - 2022 Eloise Eslea was designed and built by Nauplius Workboats in the Netherlands and delivered in November 2022. Fitted with a next-generation thermo-delousing system, dynamic positioning, and a battery hybrid system, she went straight on contract with Scottish Sea Farms.
Isaac Eslea
Isaac Eslea - 2023 Isaac Eslea, sister ship of Eloise Eslea, was designed and built by Nauplius Workboats in the Netherlands and delivered in April 2023. Fitted with a next-generation Hydro-delousing system, dynamic positioning, and a battery hybrid system, she went straight on contract with Cooke Aquaculture Scotland.
John Wilson
John Wilson - 2023 Purchased from a Norwegian operator, John Wilson is a sister ship of Kathryn Matheson, increasing the size of Inverlussa’s successful catamaran fleet.
Charlie Knight
Charlie Knight - 2023 Charlie Knight is being built in Norway at Salthammer Batbyggeri, due for delivery in September 2023. She is a next-generation mooring and site service vessel, prepared for Scotland’s move to larger infrastructure like 200m pens.
2024 Award
Aquaculture Supplier of the Year - 2024 Inverlussa won the main award for Aquaculture Supplier of the Year for the 2nd time, at a ceremony in May 2024 during the Aquaculture UK exhibition in Aviemore.
Arthur Douglas
Arthur Douglas - 2024 Delivered in June 2024, Arthur Douglas is a sister ship of Helen Rice and Geraldine Mary but was built at Nauplius Workboats in the Netherlands. The vessel further increased the company’s mooring and site service capacity.
Isaac McKinnon
Isaac McKinnon - 2024 Purchased in June 2024, Isaac McKinnon becomes Inverlussa’s first Wellboat, expanding services like smolt transfers and harvesting in the aquaculture industry.
