Douglas Wilson – Director

Douglas has over 30 years’ experience of owning and operating commercial vessels and manages the annual dry docking of the vessels. He started his career in fishing and then diversified into what is now one of the largest mussel farm operations in Scotland.
Helen Wilson – Director

Having been involved in the business since its inception, Helen plays a vital support role within the company, including mussel deliveries to local hotels and restaurants in Mull and the surrounding area.
Margo Wilkie – Financial Controller

Margo joined the company in 2011, bringing the financial skills and experience she developed while successfully running her own business for many years. In addition to controlling all aspects of finance, she is responsible for maintaining the standards required for ISO 9001 Quality Management.
Lee Smith – Marine Technical Manager

Having many years of experience as both a skipper and working offshore, Lee is responsible for our Safety Management System and ISO 45001 accreditation, with the aim to provide a proactive on-board safety culture within an expanding fleet. Since re-joining the company in 2015, he ensures that the skippers’ needs are addressed promptly and efficiently and that vessels are maintained to the highest standards, with minimal downtime. Lee is also the deputy DPA onshore.
Alan Palmer – Vessel Co-ordinator

Alan previously worked internationally as an engineer in the offshore oil and gas industry for 4 years, with its strict Health and Safety culture. Since joining the company in 2016, he is responsible for vessel logistics, mooring project support and assisting with contract tendering. He is also responsible for monitoring our ISO 14001 Environmental Management standards.
Fraser McKenzie – Crew Co-ordinator

Fraser is a longstanding member of the local coastguard team and brings a wealth of experience to the onshore team. He has previously worked abroad but more recently had a role co-ordinating logistics and administrating accounts/services for the local authority. He is responsible for the comprehensive support of our crew, including monitoring crew qualifications, maintaining our comprehensive training schedule, shift scheduling and crew logistics to ensure smooth operations.
Sean Black – Vessel Co-ordinator

Sean has an extensive background in the aquaculture industry. He most recently worked for a large producer as part of their fish health team after gaining an Aquaculture/Marine Biology Degree. He is responsible for vessel logistics, mooring project support, as well as scheduling fish feed deliveries around the Highlands and Islands. His knowledge of fish welfare and disinfection requirements are key in our growth of physical treatment vessels and his attention to detail is essential for the efficient operation of the entire fleet.

Naomi helps manage a successful multi-disciplined construction company and has joined Inverlussa part-time to assist in various projects. She is responsible for tracking the progress of new build vessels, promoting the mussel farm and also researching opportunities in new markets to maintain the sustainable growth of the business.
Cameron Maclean – Mussel Farm Manager

With 21 years’ experience in aquaculture, Cameron joined us in 2005. He supervises the year round duties of the team involved in producing the harvest while maintaining the Grade A quality standards of the product. The mussels are then distributed to major supermarkets around the country, in addition to providing fresh produce to local hotels and restaurants.
